Context: CATL dominates headlines (and the swap ecosystem), but EVE’s commercial-vehicle position is substantial and internationalising — the company has been building overseas production capacity (including European plans announced in prior years for Hungary) and its LFP cells are regarded in the industry as cost-competitive with strong cycle life. A correction our research enforces: SANY’s e263 uses EVE cells, not CATL — supplier attribution matters when fleets assess parts chains and warranty logistics.

For due-diligence teams: battery supplier identity belongs in the RFP — cell maker, pack warranty flow-through, and regional service for the pack itself. Chinese entrants’ battery chains (EVE for SANY, FinDreams for BYD, CATL for IVECO’s S-eWay Artic and the swap ecosystem) are now as strategically important as their truck badges.
