Dutch transport company Dobbe has put the Mercedes eActros 600 into emission-free Benelux long-haul service, per Logistra’s March reporting — one of the first named operators running the flagship on genuine long-distance regional trunk routes rather than depot distribution.

The Benelux is where long-haul electrification should happen first: the region pairs the 500 km-class truck with Europe’s densest public charging (Milence’s Belgian and Dutch hubs), the strongest operating-cost incentive (the CO₂-graded tolls that went live 1 July), and compact geography where 450–500 km covers most trunk legs. Dobbe’s deployment tests exactly that stack in commercial reality.

Watch for: Dobbe’s operational data on charging patterns (depot-versus-public mix on trunk routes — the TCO deciding variable), and whether the run extends into Germany once MCS coverage thickens. Named-fleet long-haul cases are the scarcest evidence in the market; every one moves the segment from theory to reference.
