May 2026 — Milence ran its “Power to go Further” tour: a 1,000 km all-electric route from Paris to Berlin driven with vehicles from all four partner brands — Daimler Truck, MAN, Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks — framed around energy security and clean-transport corridors, with industry and policymakers along for the ride.

Demonstrations are data, selectively. A staged 1,000 km run proves corridor feasibility under managed conditions — charging stops pre-planned, vehicles prepped, no payload penalty stressed. It does not prove routine long-haul economics (grid queues, winter, public charging tariffs at scale), and fleets should treat it as a feasibility marker, not an operating case. What it does usefully demonstrate is multi-brand interoperability: four manufacturers’ trucks using the same public infrastructure without proprietary lock-in — the core architectural difference from proprietary swap ecosystems, and the reason Milence exists as a joint venture at all.

The energy-security framing is the policy tell. Running the tour under an “energy security” banner is aimed at Brussels and the member states, not at fleet managers: corridor charging is being positioned as strategic infrastructure in the same category as pipelines and interconnectors — the framing that unlocks CEF/AFIF public money. For fleets, the practical consequence is favourable: infrastructure built with strategic-framing public funds arrives regardless of any single OEM’s sales pace. The next milestone that matters is not another tour but MCS at scale: live at Antwerp, Zwolle and Landvetter today, and the test Milence itself says the network is being built around.
