WattTonne. Electric trucking, weighed
Field Tests

Measured, not claimed — and how your fleet joins

WattTonne does not publish unverified performance claims. Field Tests is our method: an open, repeatable protocol for measuring winter range, payload penalty and charging curves on real routes — and a standing invitation for fleet operators to run it with us.

What we measure

  • Winter range — kWh/100 km at −10 °C to 0 °C, on loaded, timed routes.
  • Payload penalty — tare weight vs. the diesel equivalent, in kilograms.
  • Charging curve — actual MCS/CCS kW delivered, 10–80%, on public hardware.
  • Uptime & availability — days out of service over a defined window.

Our method, in the open

Every test publishes: route, weather, load factor, ambient temperature, tyre and battery state, and the raw telemetry the result is drawn from. No anonymised “up to” figures. A result appears on the Evidence Files only when the fleet operator and the route data are verifiable — otherwise it is not published at all.

Recruiting now
We are recruiting pilot fleets in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France to run the first public protocol tests in winter 2026–27. Fleets contribute a truck and a route; we bring the instrumentation, the protocol and the publishing discipline.
