Cargo-Partner, the Austria-based international logistics group, added two Mercedes-Benz eActros 300 tractors to its regional distribution fleet in March — a small order with outsized signalling value: another global 3PL putting electric tractors into daily short-haul operations rather than a showcase pilot.
The eActros 300 (the smaller-battery sibling of the 400/600 family) fits the regional profile: predictable loops, depot nights, no range heroics required. Cargo-Partner’s deployment follows the pattern now visible across European 3PLs — Dachser (eActros 600 line-haul since 2025 and NextGenH2 from late 2026), DB Schenker (150 eTGX on order), Simon Loos (210-strong eActros fleet), Kuehne+Nagel (charging at Immingham) — where the major groups electrify specific duty cycles publicly, creating the reference base mid-size competitors follow.
For our readers at mid-size fleets: the 3PL majors’ deployments are free consulting — their duty-cycle choices (regional first, corridor second, long-haul last) are the validated sequence. Our duty-cycle guides say the same thing with numbers.
