IVECO delivered its first 100% electric heavy truck in Spain to logistics operator Disfrimur — an S-eWay Rigid that will run distribution routes between Murcia and Alicante through dealer Ginés Huertas Industriales. The truck’s integrated e-Axle (two motors in the axle) peaks at 840 kW with 45,000 Nm at the wheels; the seven-battery configuration claims up to 400 km range with 20–80% charging in 45 minutes and up to 150 kW of regenerative recovery.

The delivery matters beyond one truck: Spain has been Southern Europe’s laggard in heavy-truck electrification (no CO₂-graded toll, thin purchase support), so every named first delivery establishes the market’s reference case. ICCT’s H1 monitor shows IVECO’s registrations jumping to ~100 units in Q2 (from six in Q1) — the S-eWay line moving from launch rhetoric to volume, with the CATL-LFP-powered S-eWay Artic (10-yr/1.2M-km battery warranty) arriving for first customers this year.

For our tracking: IVECO’s scorecard position (currently mid-table on limited volumes) improves exactly on this kind of named-fleet delivery. Spain’s incentive vacuum, meanwhile, makes it the country to watch for policy change — any MOVES-style truck programme would unlock Southern Europe’s biggest fleet market.
