Kempower announced its contribution to Baltic charge point operator Ignitis ON’s network expansion, including high-power electric truck charging — the Baltics’ first serious heavy-duty charging infrastructure, extending the European map to the EU’s northeastern corner.

The Baltic gap has been one of Europe’s least-discussed: Poland and the Baltic states carry enormous transit freight (the Via Baltica and Rail Baltica corridors) with minimal truck-charging infrastructure and some of the EU’s lowest e-truck registration shares (part of the 14 member states under 100 units annually). Infrastructure arriving there is the precondition for transit electrification on north–south routes — and for Polish/Baltic fleets to consider what German and Nordic peers are already operating.

Ignitis ON (Lithuania’s energy incumbent) bringing Kempower hardware to the region follows the now-familiar coalition pattern: local energy player with grid relationships plus global hardware.
