Plugit and Kempower signed a sales-and-service partnership in January 2026 and confirmed their first public megawatt charging site for trucks: the Mussalo station near the Port of HaminaKotka, opened to trucks in December 2025. Three 600 kW Kempower Power Units (1.8 MW total) feed four Mega Satellite CCS (560 kW each) and one Mega Satellite MCS (1.2 MW) — Finland’s largest public truck charging station, targeted at port freight. Fifteen sites are already live under the partnership, with Sweden expansion planned for 2026.

The strategic detail is the business model: a local e-mobility operator (Plugit) running turnkey Kempower systems as both installer and CPO — the franchise pattern that scales charging faster than any single-company rollout. It’s the same lesson as China’s coalition builds: local partners with sites and grid relationships, global hardware behind them.
