Five things that mattered

Swaptopus was born. CATL and Octopus Energy launched a 50:50 swap JV for the UK and Europe — Qiji hardware plus Kraken energy trading, first UK super-hubs from 2027, 30+ by 2035. Stations as grid assets: the utilisation problem’s first Western answer.

SANY went to work in Germany. The e263 entered commercial operation: 636 kWh EVE LFP, 800 V, an 8-yr/1.2M-km written battery warranty, Putzmeister localisation, 700+ partner workshops — and no published price.

Padborg closed the Nordic gap. Milence’s 37th hub, its first in Denmark — 400 kW at the border, MCS promised for Denmark.

China H1 printed 660,000 (+22%). June was a record month; new-energy +67.6% Jan–May; exports +35%. The crossover held.

IAA took shape. SANY promised a ‘big splash’ for Hanover (15–20 Sept): new models, 2027 previews. The incumbents’ home show just became a contest.
